About the Author

Frances G. Dillow grew up a coal miner’s daughter in Logan County, West Virginia. Reading and storytelling were her favorite pastimes. She graduated from the Institute of Children’s Literature in West Redding, Connecticut, and has published two other children’s books as well as several short poems and stories. Frances is retired from Marshall University School of Medicine and now devotes all her time to her three grandsons, Ethan, Logan, and Nathan, and to her writing. She has two beautiful grown daughters, Regina and Tamara. As young girls, her daughters were her inspiration for her stories, and then her three grandsons came along and tripled the inspiration. She loves children, and all children inspire her in her writing.
